NOT ALL PORK IS BAD, BABY BACK RIBS AND PORK SPENDING!
Being a classically trained chef, and delving into the political blog world, I could not let this opportunty escape me. Today, our President was handcuffed into signing a bill that included pork projects from just about every state in the nation. Here’s the list of our pork recipients;

EASY AND TENDER BABY BACK RIBS
1 rack of baby back ribs
1 bottle of “Cattlemen’s BBQ Sauce”
1 Turkey Bag (optional)
This is the best way I have found to make baby back ribs that are probably the best tasting ribs I have ever tasted, and the method is so simple that anyone can do it.
First, buy a rack of ribs, and cut it into about 3 chunks, so that it will fit into a pot. Fill the pot with water and bring it to a boil.
Place the ribs sections into the pot and boil it for 45 minutes.
After the ribs boil for 45 minutes, take them out and place them in a large rectangular casserole baking dish and smother them with BBQ sauce (I like “Cattlemen’s” brand, but you can use whatever kind you like best).
Cover them with tinfoil and refrigerate for several hours. Remove from refrigerator and cook them in the oven on 250°F for 3 hours, then remove the tinfoil from the top, and broil them for 5-10 minutes for a crispy top.
If you don’t want to broil them, put them on a hot grill for several minutes and grill until top is crispy.
To shortcut this recipe, you can use a turkey bag and cook the ribs in the bag for 1 1/2 hours, take out of the bag, place under a broiler, sauce and serve.
This way, I have a nice meal for Sunday afternoon.
Why pork gets such a bad name, I will never know. Whatever happened to “the other white meat campaign”?
By the way, just to keep this liberal; Since every state has pork projects, the republicans and conservatives should have little to say about Pork, happy Sunday Dinner to all.
Oh you have to take the bloated picture of Rush’s mouth off of your custom image header…
Thanks, now that you have acknowledged it, I will do that. Maybe you could send me some custom work?
I’d be glad to make one for you (I made mine and the political animal’s, so don’t expect too much lol but you can see kind of what you’ll be working with). Anything but a bloated picture of that slob’s mouth lol!
Bacon tastes good, pork chops taste good, and sewer rat… mmm tastes like pumkin pie.
Bobo, this bill was a holdover bill from the Bush administration. This bill also funds the government, without which the country would shut down. There is no line item veto. The republicans didnt want the line item veto either. Obama could not veto the bill on the 11th hour without effectively shutting down government. You bothered mentioning McCain, so I ask you to look up his state, one of the top offenders in earmarks, 743 projects. Obama didnt triple the debt, this bill and the debt were already done. How can you blame a guy who’s been in office less than 60 days? I also took the liberty to weigh in on other issues on your site, great site, love it.
40% of the pork came from republican sponsors… which is a lot for a minority party to get.
BTW ndefence that is one snazzy looking image header!
