Big Government; From the Far Left

The recent conservative talk about President Obama, the stimulus package, and big government has led me to write this blog. One conservative blogger wrote that Obama is going to mortgage our childrens’ future by passing yet another stimulus package when the first one didn’t work. I would like to remind all the conservatives that this whole idea of bailouts and stimulus packages came from people like Paulson, a conservative. And Bush signed off on it too. Of course, it very well may be a trojan horse that Paulson and Bush passed on to Obama.

” The last year Mr. Clinton was in office the nation borrowed 18 billion dollars. The first year Mr. Bush II was in office he had to borrow 133 billion”. All those republicans and conservatives alike will now try and fault Obama economics if and when these policies don’t work. To all those who ascribe to doing nothing, I ask the question; Is it better to do nothing and let America’s foundation crumble, or is it better to lend a hand to these corporate giants?

If these companies fail, unemployment will surely rise above 10% signaling a depression. Let’s not forget it was Rockefeller, another conservative, who took America off the gold standard leaving nothing but American’s confidence in the dollar to support the economy. Another point I would like to make is about the national debt and deficit spending.
Since 1961, the national debt has never gone down, republican or democrat in office.

” In 1993 President Clinton inherited the deficit spending problem and did more than just talk about it; he fixed it. In his first two years, with a cooperative Democratic Congress, he set the course for the best economy this country has ever experienced. Then he worked with what could be characterized as the most hostile Congress in history, led by Republicans for the last six years of his administration. Yet, under constant personal attacks from the right, he still managed to get the growth of the debt down to 0.32% (one third of one percent) his last year in office. Had his policies been followed for one more year the debt would have been reduced for the first time since the Kennedy administration. Contrary to the myth fostered by our right-wing friends, under a Democrat, revenue increased and spending decreased.”

I believe Obama’s plan to be similar to Clinton’s and that is the reason he surrounded himself with former Clinton administration people. However, he has the task of undoing 8 years of Bush first, which will take some time.

Give hope a chance.

They won’t give hope a chance. They want Obama to fail because they put the good of their party ahead of what’s good for the country. The idea that a democrat might do a better job than they can scares the bejesus out of them. Republican operatives are out right now sniffing piles of panties for a trace of Obama DNA so they can bring him down the only way they know how.

What’s good for the people is to let them tank. They need to learn to not overspend, not over mortgage and take some responsibility for their own actions and lives. This has nothing to do with which party line one falls into.

Jason, you must be a dumbocrat because your way of thinking is just that: dumb.

    Quit spending spoiled AMERICA!
